The Air Miles Detour contest is on and 5 Canadian cities are vying for the chance to win a free concert from a for-real pop star! The Koots’ own, City of Nelson, made the cut!
The hub of the West Kootenay is battling against Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Morin-Heights, Quebec, Mulmur, Ontario and Port Hawksbury, Nova Scotia for the fun of hosting a summer concert featuring singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor.
Nelson: Use your Air Miles!!
The contest will be based on which community earns the most Air Miles by the end of May. The contest voting runs from May 1-31, but before anyone can cast a vote, they need to register for Air Miles (contest is open only to Canadian resident AIR MILES Collectors who are at least 16 years of age as of May 1, 2016) — and people can only vote for their favourite town once.
For the voting period, any Air Mile earned by those registered for the competition will be also counted as a vote.
The countdown to the Air Miles Detour Contest in support of Nelson was kicked off with a block party earlier this month.
