Success Story
Village Country Inn
Posted in: Columbia Valley, BC

After 30 years of retreating to Radium Hot Springs from Calgary, Fern and Graham Kerslake spotted their investment opportunity and decided to make their dream a reality. The single most important factor that aided this decision was the warmer and more consistent weather which was closely followed by the majesty of wildlife that shares the roadways and green spaces in the village. The ability to relocate to Radium was clearly made easier due to the easy commuting distance between Calgary and Radium Hot Springs. Graham has an office set up at the Village Country Inn that allows him to continue providing professional real estate services in Calgary and Southern Alberta and because of the short commute; he is able to be in his Calgary office a few days each week as well. Investing in the Village Country Inn has allowed Fern and Graham the opportunity to meet many wonderful people from around the world. The Radium Hot Springs pools have a world-wide attraction for many people and they feel honored to host visitors from faraway places. Listening to visitors stories and sharing in their journey is a return on investment that can’t be duplicated. This investment has not only provided an asset that will appreciate in value over time but is also providing an income to support their family. The Village Country Inn is a charming and elegant 2-storey Victorian style Country Inn that offers warm, cozy rooms for the perfect romantic getaway. The Inn offers a unique experience that is truly different from your traditional accommodation.

“The weather and wildlife continue to be factors that affirm the decision we have made to invest in Radium Hot Springs. These factors combined with the beauty of the mountain scenery make us grateful for every new day we begin in Radium. There is a sign at the entrance to the Village of Radium Hot Springs that says ‘The Mountains Shall Bring Peace to the People’. This has certainly been true for our journey.”
