Kettle River Canoes
More than 160 canoes have been restored since the start of operations in 2003. Mike Elliott also writes "CanoeGuy's Blog" to provide restoration tips on-line. This information is now available in a book -- "This Old Canoe: How To Restore Your Wood-Canvas Canoe".
These old canoes have been a valued part of the family for many decades. With this in mind, we are not restoring canoes. Instead, we are restoring the relationship that our clients have with their canoes. We use the same materials and construction methods that have been used for 120 years. Each canoe is unique and requires customized attention to bring it back to its former glory. Therefore, we don't work on a canoe, we work with it.
