After 15 years of studying and working in the lower Mainland, Morgan Dehnel Ph.D., P.Eng. was ready to move to Nelson when his wife was offered a position with the municipality. Nelson’s telecommunications infrastructure allowed Morgan to start a company focused on supplying products and services to the international commercial accelerator industry. Morgan and the employees of D-Pace take advantage of the ‘live here, work anywhere’ opportunities that exist in the Kootenay region.
Morgan lists lifestyle advantage, a telecommunications infrastructure that provides access to global markets, highly skilled labour motivated to re-locate to Nelson because of its cachet, convenient access to high quality business supplies and services, and arts, culture and recreation as reasons why the Kootenay Region is an ideal place to invest.
