Pascale’s Baked Goods
My husband and I moved to Grand Forks from Montreal at the end of 2014. He was born and raised in B.C. and his family was living in the region, that’s why we chose to move here. I have always been passionate about cooking and baking. In fact, when I was 17, I signed up for Pastry School but ended up choosing social work field. I am a self-taught baker; I have an addiction for pastry and cooking books, ha ha!
I love Grand Forks, it’s a little hidden gem. Don’t tell anyone! We have the mountains, the wilderness, rivers and lakes and an amazing community. It sounds to me like the perfect combo to open a business here. I truly love food and I try as much as I can to help our local farmers by sourcing my ingredients from them such as local honey, cheese, butter, veggies, etc. I also source many ingredients organically including but not limited to flour, sugars, cocoa, coconut, peanut butter, seeds, nuts, vanilla, oats, flavour extracts, corn starch etc.
I have been a vegetarian for the past 7 years and so no meat will be processed in my new shop. I also bake many plant-based sweets, cakes and cupcakes. Yay!!! And we can make sandwiches to fill your bellies on your lunch break!
