Spearhead is dedicated to the digital design and manufacturing process. All projects are developed using BIM (Building Information Model) software, which includes a detailed 3-dimensional digital model. This information is shared our project partners to review designs and coordinate site-built and pre-manufactured components. The digital data also drives the manufacturing process by interfacing directly with our CNC machinery.
Wherever possible, structural and architectural components are designed, engineered and pre-manufactured in parallel with site construction, allowing for just-in-time delivery and compressed construction schedules. Keeping the production process in a controlled environment at our facility greatly enhances quality, cost control and manufacturing efficiency.
Spearhead has been involved with numerous ‘green’ or ‘high-performance’ building projects, including one of the few LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum projects in North America. Spearhead is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) Chain of Custody Certified and has LEED accredited professionals on staff.
