Jennifer has a long time relationship with Nakusp. She grew up in Toronto but spent her childhood summers visiting her grandparents in the area. After years of being away, she returned to the playground of her youth, fell in love all over again and never left. The pristine landscape and friendly community made her feel like she had found her true home.

Jennifer worked as Internet Marketer, but being an artistic person at heart she was left feeling bored and uninspired. In her spare time she loved to make chocolates. And she was good at it, too!

In October of 2012 she decided it was time to take the plunge and gave up her “day job” to become a Chocolatier. She opened her very own little chocolate shop, Jennifer’s Chocolates, where people can watch her create artisan chocolates from scratch.

“Now, every day I get to do something I love – making chocolates. Even better, I get to share them with people in this wonderful little community which has supported me every step of the way. I have found my home here and it’s a dream come true,” says Jennifer. “I love Nakusp for the feeling of peace I get here, the natural beauty that surrounds us, and the supportive community that brings us all together.”
