Kootenay Columbia College of Integrative Health Sciences
From its humble beginnings in 1996, the Kootenay Columbia College of Integrative Health Sciences (KCCIHS) has blossomed to be a key contributor in the Nelson area, attracting almost 100 students from across North America to its programs in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Registered Massage Therapy, and Holistic Nutrition.
KCCIHS is owned by Joanne Sinclaire, a former student and instructor who bought the company in 2014.
ACOS has a fully stocked Chinese herbal dispensary and a bookstore which carries a wide range of health-related titles. The Academy’s thriving Outpatient and Student Clinics provide students with crucial practical experience as well as offering the community an excellent level of health care.
