Rossland Builder
Cezary Ksiazek is originally from Poland where he finished the Merchant Marine Academy and graduated with a Master of Science. Sailing and the outdoors was his passion and he represented Poland in various international sailing competitions. Cezary emigrated from Poland almost 30 years ago and discovered his second passion, construction. After he finished construction engineering in London, Ontario, he moved to the United States, where he worked for a leading construction company. During his time with the company, he oversaw the building of an average of one hundred houses per year.
Fourteen years ago he discovered Rossland and fell in love with its beautiful scenery and friendly people. Today, he builds spec homes through his company, Rossland Builder.
Although he used to work for clients, Cezary has found that spec homes offer the style of construction that he most enjoys. He works with one employee because there are no pressing timelines and he can ensure that his projects are done right. Knowing he’ll be doing the finishing on a home means that he puts exceptional care and attention into all the measurements and details. When a client is planning a custom home, Cezary says there is pressure on deciding every detail. But purchasing a home that is already built is like buying a car—a customer can see the finished product before making a final decision.
Cezary fell in love in Rossland and became a Board member of the Rossland Chamber of commerce and parish counsellor in the local church.
His advice in business is “If you have passion, education and vision you have success.”
